Magnetic Memo Boards

I made these magnetic memo boards on a whim- the coffee one was a thank you gift for a friend of mine, and the aqua blue colored one is for our MOPS auction. I think that the more I make, the more I add to them, they come together really fast- gotta love that! On the blue board, I customized buttons with coordinating paper and clear buttons- using Aleen's Paper Glaze to glue the paper to the back of the buttons, then threaded embroidery floss through and tied- thanks to my buddy Katherine who gave me the nerve to try doing that, I really like how it looks... :)

"Love Notes"

I got the basic idea for these from the Michael's store website for ideas... Mine looks totally different from theirs, but I liked the form of them. They were fun and fast.. other than the decorating... but even that doesn't have to take long (unless you're an overthinker like me.. :) )

Votive Holders

I tried my hand at these for our MOPS craft this month, we had a lot of votive holders left over from a previous craft the year before last. I'd heard about using tissue paper and Mod Podge and I thought it could be a fun way to dress the votive holders up. For the first one I cut the flowers out from the paper and Mod Podged them on, and the second, I tore the solid pink tissue paper and Mod Podged it on first, then placed the cut out flowers afterward. I think they both have their own appeal. I'm going to find some other print and color of tissue paper to try too. Hopefully the ladies enjoy this craft, it's always a toss up to see what people like...

Altered Notebook

This is a little project I finished a few days ago, it was quick and fun. I didn't do that much with it, other than inking and Stickles, and the obligatory ribbon... I decided to make it for a friend of mine in SWF in Cafemom, she's a real sweetheart! :) I used Stampin Up paper and Stickles, the ink was Colorbok Chalk Ink- I just love those chalk inks!

Word Bloom Album

This is the final product that I came up with for my tutorial on word bloom albums in Scrapping with Friends. I tried the word "family" first with smaller letters, and I found it impractical for decent size pictures, so I made bigger letters and hence the album got bigger. I was much happier with this version. I didn't do that much to it other than inking and Stickling and a few ribbon ties... my arms and hands weren't cooperating terribly well. I got the idea from http://www.craftbits.com/ . If you want to see the original version with the gal's tutorial/instructions, you can search "word bloom album" on the Craftbits site. You can also check out "word bloom album" in Scrapping with Friends on Cafemom for my little tutorial, too...
