Votive Holders

I tried my hand at these for our MOPS craft this month, we had a lot of votive holders left over from a previous craft the year before last. I'd heard about using tissue paper and Mod Podge and I thought it could be a fun way to dress the votive holders up. For the first one I cut the flowers out from the paper and Mod Podged them on, and the second, I tore the solid pink tissue paper and Mod Podged it on first, then placed the cut out flowers afterward. I think they both have their own appeal. I'm going to find some other print and color of tissue paper to try too. Hopefully the ladies enjoy this craft, it's always a toss up to see what people like...

  3. Yep, Alayna, I Mod Podged the tissue paper to the outside of the votive holders- you have to be careful not to let it overlap the top rim of the holder, since it would then be exposed to the heat/flame more directly.
